THHM at Hayes 14.0, at Hicks 13.4
Iowa St 10.3, Live Oak 14.6
TTHM's are what is known as DBP's Disinfection By-products. Keeping in mind we must retain a residual at the end of our lines of at least a .2mg/l (which is what we are maintaining) When Chlorine is added it mixes with certain naturally present compounds. In our situation we have Methane which when mixed with Chlorine creates Chloroform. In either state the TTHM we are dealing with is a gas. It can be removed with Carbon such as found in a Brita Pitcher or it can be removed by aeration. We have designed a new system and are currently in operation!!
